Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of the Tiger & Type website (tigerandtype.com) and the services we provide. By accessing this website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Tiger & Type is a digital studio based in Johannesburg, South Africa. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Services

Tiger & Type offers web design and development, SEO, graphic design, social media management, email marketing, and managed WordPress hosting. The specific scope, deliverables, and pricing for any project will be outlined in a separate proposal or agreement before work begins.

Quotes and payment

All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). Tiger & Type is not a registered VAT vendor and does not charge VAT. Quotes are valid for 30 days. A deposit is required before any work begins. We reserve the right to pause work where payment is overdue.

Project timelines

We will provide estimated timelines for all projects. Timelines may be affected by delays in receiving content, feedback, or approvals from you. We are not liable for delays caused by late provision of materials.

Client responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information, content, and materials in a timely manner. You confirm that any content you provide is owned by you or that you have the necessary rights to use it.

Intellectual property

Upon full payment, you will own the final deliverables created for your project. We retain the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing. Third-party assets remain subject to their own licence terms.

Hosting and maintenance

Managed WordPress hosting is billed monthly in advance. We reserve the right to suspend hosting if payment is more than 14 days overdue. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime or security breaches beyond our reasonable control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Tiger & Type shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Cancellation and refunds

If you cancel a project after work has begun, you will be invoiced for work completed. Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced. Hosting may be cancelled with 30 days written notice. No refunds for the current billing period.

POPIA compliance

We process personal information in accordance with POPIA. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
