Google Ads & Analytics

Know where your money’s going.
Make it work harder.

Google Ads and Analytics can tell you a lot about your business – who’s finding you, what they do when they get there, and whether your ad spend is actually turning into anything. The tricky part is making sense of it all. That’s where we come in.

The Analogy

The Megaphone.

Google Ads is a megaphone.

It’s great at getting attention. You set a budget, pick your keywords, and Google puts you in front of people who are actively searching for what you offer. Done right, it works. Done wrong, it means you’re paying for clicks that go nowhere.

Analytics is what happens after the megaphone. It tells you whether the people who looked up liked what they saw – which pages held their attention, where they dropped off, and whether any of it turned into an enquiry, a sale, or a booking.

Without both, you’re either spending money blind or sitting on data you don’t know how to read. We set things up properly, keep them talking to each other, and translate what the numbers actually mean.

Ads bring people to your door.
Analytics tells you what they did when they got there.

Our Approach

Google’s reporting tools are impressive. They’re also genuinely confusing.

GA4 alone has over 200 metrics. Google Ads will happily generate a 12-tab report full of numbers that look very important and mean almost nothing without context. Most businesses end up with dashboards they never open and campaigns they’re quietly not sure are doing anything.

We cut through that. When we audit an account, set up your analytics suite, or build a campaign from scratch, we tell you what matters – in a format you can actually use. Not a 40-slide deck. Not a spreadsheet full of colour-coded cells. A clear picture of where you are, what’s working, and what to do next.

And because ads are only half the equation: if you’re spending money on Google Ads and sending people to a slow, confusing page, you’re paying for clicks to leave. We’ll flag that too – and we can fix it.

Worth knowing before you spend

Google Ads brings people to your site. If the page they land on is slow, unclear, or doesn’t tell them what to do next, you’re paying for clicks to leave. We can look at that too – see our web design and Glow-Up services if your site needs work first.

Working Together

Not a one-off if you don’t want it to be.

These services don’t have to be set-and-forget. Once your campaigns are live or your analytics are in place, there’s usually more value in keeping an eye on things over time.

There’s no retainer you have to commit to. Some clients check in monthly. Some come back for a quarterly review. Some run their own campaigns and call us when something looks off. We work around what makes sense for your business.

Get in Touch

Monthly Optimisation

Regular check-ins to adjust bids, refresh ad copy, review performance data, and make sure your budget is working as hard as it can.

Quarterly Review

A proper look at the numbers every three months – what’s shifted, what to change, and what to focus on in the next quarter.

As-Needed Support

No contract. Come back when you need to – a new campaign, something looks wrong, or you just want a second pair of eyes on the data.

Whether you want to know if your current ads are working or you’re starting from scratch, let’s figure out what you actually need.

FAQ

Questions worth asking.

They work well together but you don’t have to start with both. Analytics is the foundation – if you don’t have it set up properly, you’re flying blind regardless of whether you’re running ads. Most clients start there, then add ads when they’re ready.
Yes. Once your campaigns are live, you can run them yourself or check in with us monthly or as needed to optimise, adjust targeting, refresh ad copy, and make sure the budget is working. No retainer required – we work project-by-project or on a recurring basis, depending on what suits you.
GA4 tells you what happens on your site – how people found you, which pages they visited, how long they stayed, whether they converted. Search Console tells you how Google sees your site in search – which queries you’re appearing for, how many clicks you’re getting, and whether there are any indexing issues. Both are useful. Neither replaces the other.
Possibly. GA4 is not a set-it-and-forget-it tool. A lot of businesses have it installed but not properly configured – missing conversion events, no goals, Tag Manager not connected, Search Console not linked. The setup service covers all of that, not just the initial installation. If you’re not sure what’s missing, an Analytics Audit will tell you.
Conversion tracking. If you can’t see what happens after someone clicks your ad – whether they called, filled in a form, or bought something – you can’t really know if the campaign is doing its job. The Ad Account Audit looks at this specifically, and conversion tracking is set up as standard in every Campaign Research & Setup.
Not necessarily, but it depends on your market and your goals. Some industries are competitive and expensive to advertise in – a small budget will burn quickly with little to show. We’ll tell you upfront whether your budget is realistic for the results you’re after. If the numbers don’t stack up, we’ll say so.
Yes – we work on both Google Search and Google Shopping campaigns. Search is the text ads that appear when someone types a query. Shopping is the product listings with images and prices that appear at the top of results for product-based searches. If you sell products and aren’t running Shopping ads, it’s worth talking about. Display and YouTube are outside our current scope.
